In Vancouver, David L. Jeakle, P.E. has joined as a principal of Infinity Engineering Group in North Vancouver. Mr. Jeakle has nearly 20 years of experience in long span bridge engineering and has been engineer of record on many notable structures in the U.S. as well as serving as a peer reviewer on the Deh Cho Bridge, a project Infinity Engineering is working on in the Northwest Territories. He is a member of the Post Tensioning Institutes Stay Cable Committee.
Kimberly Mowat of R.V. Anderson Associates, based in Toronto, won the ACEC’s 2010 Allen D. Williams Scholarship Award. The award is created in memory of Allen Williams, an Alberta consulting engineer who was ACEC Chair 2004-2005 and died tragically in an airplane accident.  The award is given to a young professional employee of an ACEC member firm who demonstrates qualities such as commitment to excellence, team leadership, and participation in professional associations.
Lui Mancinelli has joined Stantec as vice president and practice lead for the Commercial Architecture sector. He is based out of Stantec’s Toronto office and will be in an integral leadership position in Stantec’s 800-person architectural practice.
