Dessau of Montreal has expanded into Latin America by acquiring a large engineering company in Bogota, Colombia. The acquired company, Compania de Estudios e Interventorias Ltda. (CEI), is one of Colombia’s top 10 engineering firms, with 350 employees. They specialize in transportation, energy and the oil and gas sectors, as well as doing water management and urban development.

Dessau has been active in Latin America for more than 15 years and now has a total of 800 employees there. It started with an office in Peru, and has since added permanent offices in Chile, Costa Rica and Colombia.
