On April 19th, Smith + Andersen and Footprint hosted its sixth annual Eco Jam at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto.

The benefit rock concert highlights the hidden musical talent within the AEC industry as leaders from across the GTA gather to listen to their peers cover non-stop hits to a sold out house.

This year, the theme was “Back to the 70s”, and once again the performers did not disappoint.

Held during Earth Week, this event draws attention to the importance of trees to the construction industry.

Since 2013, Eco Jam, in conjunction with Forests Ontario, had already planted well over 10,000 trees across Ontario.

This year was the firm’s biggest event yet, adding another 5,320 trees to the total. That’s more trees than any other year!

Event sponsors and supporters included: B+H Architects, Brown Daniels, Bentall Kennedy, CS&P Architects, Dialog, Diamond Schmitt Architects, EllisDon, Entuitive, Facio, Gillam, Guild Electric, IBI Group, In Studio, Ledcor, Montgomery Sisam, NORR, PCL Construction, Perkins + Will, Plan Group, Quadrangle, RAW, RJC, VR Mechanical, Walsh, Zeidler.
