Ontario’s Casino Rama near Orillia is proclaiming proudly that it has erected the largest 3-D billboard in Canada.
The billboard located on Highway 400, Toronto’s main route to cottage country, soars 75 feet above the ground and can be seen two kilometres away. It measures 5,000 square feet and was built using steel poles and wooden hydro poles. The support structure has 28 tons of steel and more than 150 tons of concrete. Millar Construction of Toronto designed it.
Featured on the billboard are a giant blazing slot machine, the words “hottest action,” 50 fluorescent bulbs and a flashing strobe light.
