Golder Associates has appointed a new president and chief executive officer of its global operations, known as Golder Associates Corp.

Brian H. Conlin, P.Eng. of the Burnaby office will be formally taking on his new role in June at the company’s global board of directors meeting. He replaces Rick Firlotte, P.Eng., who was based in Montreal.

Conlin has been with Golder since he joined the Mississauga, Ontario office as a project geological engineer in 1977. Since then he has spent most of his career on the west coast, working in mining, oil and gas, land development and infrastructure. Most recently he was regional president of Golder Associates Ltd., the firm’s founding operating company in Canada. In that role he led the firm through a period of “unprecedented growth, diversification and expansion.”

Mr. Conlin is a native of Metcalfe, Ontario and has degrees form Carleton University, Queen’s University and University of Toronto.
