Engineering activity in Canada shows sharp rise

Canada’s construction start figures for the first four months of 2005 rose 153% above the same period last year. Engineering starts were 514% higher than last year, measured in dollar value. Office building construction showed the next biggest upward jump at 80%. The statistics are published by CanaData of Reed Construction Data.
