Genivar of Montreal has acquired two more companies. One is Phoenix Engineering, a consulting firm specializing in wind power engineering. It has 40 employees in offices in Calgary and Montreal. With this acquisition, Genivar has its first office in Calgary.
The second firm acquired by Genivar is RFA Consulting Electrical Engineers. Founded in 1974, the company has 30 employees based in Vancouver and Victoria, B.C. They specialize in electrical and lighting design.
Pierre Shoiry, president and CEO of Genivar Income Trust, said in a press release: “I am very pleased to welcome RFA into Genivar’s team. …this acquisition represents another step forward in increasing our national platform in the building market segment, and as well it expands our operations in Vancouver and establishes our presence in Victoria.”
