McElhanney Consulting takes top prize in B.C.

Consulting Engineers of British Columbia presented their annual awards of excellence last Saturday, March 6.

Consulting Engineers of British Columbia presented their annual awards of excellence last Saturday, March 6.
The gala evening celebration was held at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, attended by a record 400 guests, including the Honourable Kevin Falcon, Minister of Transportation.
The Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Engineering Excellence went to McElhanney Consulting Services for a project done in Cambodia entitled “Land Administration in Landmine Contaminated Areas.”
Awards of excellence went to Dayton & Knight for the Eagle Lake Micro Power Generation and to Fast + Epp for the Central City Three Timber Structures. Sandwell Engineering won two awards of excellence, one for the Coloso Port Modification and another for the Little Mountain Reservoir Reconstruction.
Awards of merit went to Acres International (Kootenay 230 kv System), Earth Tech (Jasper Wastewater Treatment Plant), Keen Engineering (White Rock Operations Centre), ND LEA Consultants (Stanley Park Causeway “S” Curve, Stantec Consulting (CRD Environmental Services Headquarters, Urban Systems & Stantec Consulting (River Street Water Treatment Plant), Westmar Consultants & Keystone Environmental (Meadow Avenue Remediation) and Westmar Consultants (Westshore Terminals Berth No 2 Shiploaders).
Bob Brocklebank, P.Eng., won the Meritorious Achievement Award, an award to recognize an individual for their contribution to engineering, the consulting industry and the community.
Mr. Brocklebank is a driving force in the consulting industry and a founding father of Consulting Engineers of B.C.
