Central Sprinkler Company has two new products for warehouse and high-piled storage protection. The K17 ESFR pendent sprinkler (see photo) uses the same flows as traditional 14 K-factor ESFR (early suppression fire response) sprinklers but at much lower pressures. The result is savings in installation costs because of a reduction in branch lines and the potential elimination of fire pumps.

The patent-pending EC-25 upright sprinkler gives extended coverage of 14 x 14, with a minimum operating pressure of 7 psi. The FM approved sprinkler provides pre-wetting and fire suppression under obstructed construction conditions, giving area density fire-protection for box retail stores, extra-hazard and high-piled storage occupancies, including those involving exposed plastics.
