Hatch Mott MacDonald has acquired Simcoe Engineering Group, a water and wastewater engineering firm based in Pickering and Kingston, Ontario.
Nicholas DeNichilo, president of Hatch Mott MacDonald, said, “This acquisition is in line with [our] vision of expanding its already significant water and wastewater capabilities in the Canadian marketplace.”
Simcoe brings about 20 experts to Hatch Mott MacDonald, whose staff now number 1,200 in North America.
Don Cane, President of Simcoe Engineering Group, commented: “The acquisition offers us a strong and stable platform to provide continuing and expanded service to our clients, and we are excited by the new opportunities that our combined capabilities will provide.
Hatch Mott MacDonald’s parent companies are Hatch of Canada and Mott MacDonald of the U.K.
