A director, Andrew Hrymak, P.Eng., has been appointed to the newly established School for Engineering Practice at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
The university’s Faculty of Engineering recently created the School for Engineering Practice, said to be the “first of its kind in Canada.”
The school consists of three “Centres of Excellence,” each supported by manufacturers: Xerox, Dofasco and General Motors of Canada.
The school will give Master’s programs to professionals to enable them “to recognize and develop new technologies and to take those new technologies to market in a safe, efficient and environmentally sound manner.”
Dr. Hrymak, the director, is a professor of chemical engineering at McMaster and chair of the department.
