Tidal power in the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia got a boost after the federal government announced $20 million in support for the Tidal In-Stream Energy Convertors in the Minas Passage  The money will help researchers investigate how well four submarine cables deliver power to the province’s grid. The Fundy project is Canada’s first deployment of commercial-scale tidal turbines. See CCE March-April 2010 and June-July 2008.
