AMEC opened a new 100,000-square foot office in Calgary on September 8. Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach was scheduled to be there for the opening celebrations.

The new building, which brings together AMEC Earth and Environmental staff from several different locations, is located on Quarry Park Boulevard SE in southeast Calgary. It is designed with several energy saving features. AMEC’s Natural Resources group will remain downtown.

AMEC Earth and Environmental is currently working on several projects in Calgary, including the stormwater management plan for the Currie Barracks redevelopment , geotechnical and materials testing for the Calgary Law Courts, and construction management and environmental assessment for the northwest portion of Stoney Trail in collaboration with AECOM and Associated Engineering.
