WOODBRIDGE, ON, March 13, 2014 – Honeywell’s newest WIN-PAK integrated security system software allows integrators to more-easily create a connected business environment to meet a broad spectrum of user needs – ranging from entry level to large, multi-location applications.

The three versions of WIN-PAK 4.0 accommodate a range of needs, from access control only to a fully integrated security system, depending on a user’s requirements. Honeywell further expanded its portfolio with two releases that complement the WIN-PAK 4.0 software suite: the new Software Maintenance Upgrade (SMU) program and the PRO3200 access control panel.

“More companies are looking to adopt a connected business model by improving their security through ease of use and quick access to information,” said John A. Smith, senior channel marketing manager for Honeywell. “We’ve seen a lot of interest from our users – both big and small – wanting to provide a single point of management and control. WIN-PAK 4.0 reduces complexity associated with integrating disparate access, video and intrusion systems by providing everything through a single user interface.”

The WIN-PAK 4.0 suite allows users to drive IT compliance by keeping up-to-date with the latest operating system and database requirements with Windows® 8.1, Windows® Server 2012 R2 and SQL Server 20112. The software is available in English and French, and comes in three versions:

  • WIN-PAK XE 4.0 – ideal for single workstation systems that require access-only functionality;
  • WIN-PAK SE 4.0 – ideal for small- to medium-sized integrated security applications, SE is available in one- or five-workstation versions; and
  • WIN-PAK PE 4.0 – combining all the features of XE and SE, PE provides support for multiple department and site installations and multiple servers for large applications with an unrestricted number of client workstations, VISTA intrusion and advanced video integration.

The new Software Maintenance Upgrade program automatically provides the latest software upgrades to Honeywell’s dealers for their users. It ensures maximum system performance by eliminating the need for dealers to remember to purchase upgrades. The first year is included with the software at no cost, and additional years of coverage will be sold based on the version level of software. The automatic upgrades allow dealers to keep in close contact with users to perform system upgrades, drive up-sell opportunities and increase revenue potential. In addition to WIN-PAK, the SMU program is available with a wide range of Honeywell products and software.

WIN-PAK 4.0 also fully integrates with the new PRO3200 panel to provide strict access control at multiple entry points within a small physical space. PRO3200 is a high-density access control panel with on-board Ethernet integration that supports 32 doors. Fully compatible with all PRO2200 installations, the PRO3200 is a simple head-end replacement that drives down the cost of installation with lower per-door costs.
