OTTAWA, Aug. 12, 2013 /CNW/ – Marcomm Systems Group Inc. (MSGI), the industry leader in advanced security and control systems, recently had the privilege to design, install and commission the highly sophisticated security system for the new 49,000 square metre Forensic Services & Coroner’s Complex in Toronto.

“This is a big feather in our caps,” said David Trudel, President of MSGI. “When reflecting back on the people, process and innovation used to bring this project to completion, I can’t help but feel a tremendous sense of pride for what our team accomplished. This clearly demonstrates we have the talent and expertise, and should be considered a formidable partner for any design build P3 project.”

MSGI was asked to design a state of the art fully integrated IP security management system, with layered security that is fully redundant with no single point of failure. “The sophistication of this system is simply fascinating,” explains David, “and includes a myriad of sub-systems such as; Biometrics access control, alarm monitoring for critical areas, complete video surveillance of Perimeter, roof lines, and other areas of concern, a facility wide duress panic alarm system, as well as our own developed VoIP recoding box to record all distress signals for recording and review”.

MSGI embedded their software Dynatrol (dynamic annunciation and control) in the head-end to integrate the various sub-systems to Genetec Security Centre in a seamless manner. Dynatrol was also used for integration in the back-end to act as a translator.

In recent months, MSGI has been awarded security contracts for the Barrie Courthouse, the Nova Institute for Women in Nova Scotia, the Cowansville Living Unit in Quebec, and the Ambassador Hotel & Convention Centre in Kingston, Ontario.
